NL: Aagje Van Damme (°1992) studeert in 2018 af als masterstudent Animatiefilm aan het RITCS te Brussel, met de kortfilm ‘Dear Son’.

Als bachelorproef maakte ze de kortfilm “Chit-Chatter”, een dialoog tussen twee stadsduiven. Met deze film haalde ze een tiental filmfestival selecties binnen, waaronder het Internationaal Kortfilmfestival Leuven (2017), Chania Cartoon & Animation Festival in Griekenland (2017) en Neum Animation Film Festival (2018) in Bosnië en Herzegovina.

EN: Aagje first came in contact with animation while on Erasmus in Denmark and studying at VIA University College/Open Workshop. There she made a short film NEKA as a tryout. She then decided to continue in animation, by starting at RITCS after she graduated as a primary school teacher. There she made her first ‘real’ short, Chit-Chatter in 2017, for her bachelor graduation project. This short won the jury award of ‘Best Animation Film’ at Night of the Short Film Antwerp in 2018.
